Position Description
Incumbents in this position participate in activities relating to government and regulatory requirements and compliance. Coordinate the accumulation of regulatory compliance and technical information for submission to various local and state governmental regulatory agencies and interprets and clarifies federal, state or local laws or regulations. Establishes and maintains policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in asbestos removal projects. Experience in the collection and analysis of airborne asbestos fibers and the collection of bulk samples.
Preferred education is a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a physical or natural science from an accredited college or university combined with two years of work experience in an environmental field or in occupational health. Other degree fields are acceptable for consideration with two years of work experience in occupational health or a related field.
Must have ability to read and write proficiently in English. Must be able to maintain proficiency in the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) program. Currently licensed as an Asbestos Individual Consultant, Asbestos Project Manager, Asbestos Building Inspector, and/or Asbestos Air Monitoring Technician.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or high school diploma and four years experience in a related field in lieu of bachelors. Related certification, licenses and registrations may be required in some areas.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
