Position Description

Provide expertise in the oversight and testing of compliance, as well as adherence to regulatory requirements and ethical standards specific to coding, billing, electronic medical records/documentation, and patient care.

Travel Required

Up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance challenges.
  • Extensive knowledge of CMS rules.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of the dynamic healthcare regulatory and compliance environment and demonstrate an ability to analyze complex healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in public speaking and business presentations.
  • 5 years of job-related experience as a compliance professional.
  • Current Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) certification.
  • Prior experience conducting audits in an academic medical or health sciences center.
  • Prior experience in conducting risk assessments.
  • Academic experience preferred.
  • Masters or JD preferred.
  • State or national conference presentation experience.
  • Research compliance experience.
  • Prior clinical experience.

Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • Master's degree in related field preferred.
  • Additional job-related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis
  • Certification in healthcare compliance (CHC).
  • Three years of experience in a compliance department.
