WHAT WE'RE DOING

At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we are committed to delivering advanced sensing and mission system capabilities that strengthen national security and support our customers' most critical missions. Our International Trade Compliance team plays a vital role in enabling global business while ensuring compliance with U.S. export and import regulations. As part of the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) Line of Business, you'll support Ground Based Air Surveillance, Emerging Sensors, and Multi-Domain Radar programs by helping protect sensitive technologies and enabling international program execution.

THE WORK

As an International Trade Compliance professional and Empowered Official, you will serve as the Export Control Coordinator (ECC) and primary point of contact for assigned SEMS radar programs. In this role, you will:

Serve as the Export Control Coordinator (ECC) for assigned programs and provide day-to-day trade compliance support.
Prepare, submit, implement, and manage export and import authorizations, including licenses, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs), Manufacturing License Agreements (MLAs), and applicable exemptions or exceptions.
Perform Empowered Official responsibilities, including reviewing and approving license applications and providing regulatory interpretation.
Partner with program teams and cross-functional stakeholders to develop export licensing strategies that support program execution and business growth.
Provide guidance on export authorizations and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct International Trade Compliance training for program personnel, including license scope and proviso interpretation.
Review and approve exports of hardware, technical data, and defense services.
Review EEI filings, reconcile licenses, approve foreign visit requests, and ensure proper handling of Export Controlled Information.

You are an experienced International Trade Compliance professional with a strong understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and U.S. export control requirements. You excel at interpreting complex regulations, building collaborative relationships, and providing practical compliance guidance that enables business objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance. You are a proactive communicator who thrives in a dynamic environment supporting multiple programs and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

-Empowered Official or meet the criteria in EXP-110 to be appointed as an Empowered Official
-In-depth knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and USML categories and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Commerce Control List ECCNs.
-In depth knowledge of FMS and DCS contracts and ITAR exemptions/EAR exceptions

-Knowledge of export/import processes.
-Ability to communicate (written/oral) effectively to collaborate with stakeholders.
-Ability to develop strategies to mitigate risk and enforce compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Detailed knowledge of, and ability to research, interpret and apply complex government regulations such as the Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customs and Border Protections (CBP).
-Familiar with LO/CLO Tri-Service Committee releasability process and BATFE regulations.
-Working knowledge of INCO terms.
-Ability to manage high-volume and multi-task activities within assigned time constraints.
-Working knowledge of Program Management Process, Contract Process and Subcontracting Process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $106,100 - $187,105. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $122,000 - $211,485. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
