Senior Manager, Americas Ethics & Compliance

Role summary
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the planning, development, execution and overall management of dentsu’s Group Global Compliance program (as set out in dentsu’s Integrated Report) for the Americas region. The role will focus on deployment of the Global Compliance program’s six pillars : Compliance Risk Assessment, Policies & Procedures, Training & Communication, Confidential Reporting & Investigations, Third Party Due Diligence, and Compliance Due Diligence and Integration for Mergers & Acquisitions. In addition, the role is expected to foster an ethical culture, serve as a key compliance contact for the region, and identify and mitigate related risks.
Key responsibilities:
Implement, manage and prioritize compliance program activities and initiatives for the Americas region, with a focus on the U.S. and Canada;
Effectively partner to support leadership in driving the right tone and conduct from the top and middle and to inspire commitment for the compliance program;
Collaborate effectively with internal functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management, Internal Audit and Ethics & Compliance professionals and stakeholders in other regions, to help identify, mitigate, and resolve compliance issues and risks;
Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks specific to the Region, including through completion of Compliance Risk Assessments;
Conduct internal investigations as needed, , assess relevant disciplinary actions and remediation plans, and complete necessary investigative reports consistent with internal processes;
Develop and deliver training programs and promote awareness of global policies through effective communication and awareness campaigns to foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior;
Develop and support the development of effective data analytics (dashboards, scorecards, metrics, and presentations) to better understand program performance, overall compliance position, and areas for improvement;
Interface with internal and external resources to keep abreast of relevant regulatory developments, best practices and trends;
Receive and respond to compliance related queries including supporting responses to client inquiries;
Assist as necessary with due diligence processes for M&A, affiliates, and other key third parties, including suppliers and partners, to mitigate assessed compliance risks and ensure compliance with anti-bribery and corruption laws;
Support M&A compliance due diligence and integration, and monitor third-party activities and relationships for ongoing compliance;
Review and recommend modifications to global policies and procedures;
Contribute to the global ethics & compliance program strategy and priorities including actively contribute to ongoing process and program improvement;
Assist with implementation of corrective actions and improvements based on findings from monitoring activities, including dentsu’s Speak Up hotline, Third Party Due Diligence, Conflicts of Interest, Gifts and Hospitality, Compliance Risk Assessment, and Annual Compliance Questionnaire programs;
Perform local market compliance reviews and risk assessments and support data collection for dashboards; and
Contribute to the enterprise risk management process.

Comfort with utilizing data to drive decision-making, analyzing dashboards to identify trends, KPIs, and root causes in compliance data)
Qualifications
5+ years corporate compliance and/or internal investigations.
Experience conducting interviews, assessing credibility, managing evidence, and preparing concise reports suitable for executives and auditors.
Knowledge of key risk areas such as anti-corruption, fraud, sanctions/export, antitrust, privacy/data protection, conflicts of interest, third-party risk, and whistleblower processes

Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.
The annual base salary range for this position is ($164,450 - $180,000). Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
