JOB SUMMARY:

The System Pharmacy Billing & Compliance Analyst supports pharmacy billing, charge capture, revenue integrity, and medication compliance activities across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role performs audits and data reviews to ensure accurate medication charging, appropriate documentation, inventory controls, and adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements, including DEA and The Joint Commission standards.

Key responsibilities include identifying and resolving missing or inaccurate medication charges, reconciling dispensed and administered medications, supporting Pharmacy-owned billing and charge-capture workflows, monitoring high-cost medication utilization, and auditing medication storage and handling practices. The Analyst also maintains compliance documentation, prepares operational reports, identifies trends and opportunities for improvement, and supports corrective actions when needed.

Working collaboratively with Pharmacy leadership, clinical departments, EPIC Willow, and other operational partners, the Analyst serves as a resource for medication-related billing and compliance inquiries and helps ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Pharmacy billing and medication-use processes across the organization.

EDUCATION:
Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Coursework in auditing, billing, compliance, pharmacy, or accounting preferred. Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of Vermont is required.


EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in pharmacy operations, healthcare billing, charge capture, auditing, compliance, revenue integrity, or a related healthcare setting required. Experience working with medication documentation, inventory, billing, or regulatory compliance processes required. Demonstrated experience reviewing data, identifying discrepancies, and resolving operational or billing issues preferred.

This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility to work remotely from home as well as on-site in an office setting.
