You will serve as a RISK MANAGER in the Operations Department, Code 300, Operations Planning Manager, Code 300.1 of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience with risk management for complex naval ship and submarine overhaul, repair, and conversion.
  • Experience utilizing management information systems and databases to collect metrics, analyze operational data, apply fact-finding techniques, and provide executive-level assessments and recommendations.
  • Experience utilizing quantitative analysis and advanced evaluative methods to assess risks and develop comprehensive solutions for complex challenges impacting cost, schedule, technical quality, and environmental/safety.
  • Experience advising senior management on the acceptance, mitigation, transfer, or avoidance of operational risks.
