Senior Associate, Sustainability Reporting & Governance, Controllers
Zoetis is seeking a Senior Associate of Sustainability Reporting & Governance within the Finance-Controllers function. This newly created role focuses on regulated Sustainability reporting and will play a critical role in supporting mandatory and voluntary Sustainability reporting for Zoetis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting various business units with Zoetis' Driven to Care Sustainability Strategy.
This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Sustainability Reporting and Governance and will work closely with other finance functions including External Reporting, Technical Accounting, Internal Audit. This role will work closely with Corporate Sustainability, Legal, Global Manufacturing & Supply, Zoetis Technology & Digital, Human Resources, and other functions and disciplines across the organization to ensure timely and accurate reporting of required Sustainability disclosures in a standardized and controlled process.
Responsibilities:
- Support monitoring, applicability, and impact assessments of global sustainability regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., EU CSRD, ISSB, SEC, California Climate Rule, etc.) and global disclosure trends to drive sustainability reporting compliance activities.
- Serve as the primary project manager to lead the development, implementation, and project management of Zoetis' activities for regulated sustainability reporting acting as a liaison between Finance, Corporate Sustainability, Legal, GMS (manufacturing), Human Resources, and other functions to ensure timely completion of implementation activities.
- Coordinate key components of the external assurance process for regulated sustainability reporting fostering strong relationships with external auditors to ensure compliance and enhance transparency. · Lead process walkthroughs to support the creation of sustainability technical accounting policies and control framework.
- Design sustainability educational content and lead internal sustainability education presentations to management and key stakeholders over mandatory sustainability disclosures and related regulatory implications.
- Represent the Controllers function on sustainability matters for various company initiatives and internal committees.
- Develop, document, and execute the sustainability disclosure control program.
- Draft sustainability regulatory disclosures, collect data and disclosures from data owners and manage the supporting documentation
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability or related field required
- CPA preferred
- 3+ years of progressive accounting, finance, and/or sustainability reporting experience
Technical Skills Requirement:
- U.S. GAAP and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, corporate governance, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley and other statutory requirements
- Sustainability reporting frameworks, regulations, and standards including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, ISSB, TCFD, and SASB
- Global sustainability reporting regulations and data landscape
- Strong project management skills with experience working on cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to create impactful presentations tailored for mid to executive-level meetings and presentation.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Teams. Experience with Workiva and Power BI preferred.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $82,000 to $118,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This position is also eligible for short-term incentive compensation.
